Premier Mantles are built one at a time with pride and craftsmanship. All of the wide flat pieces are made using an MDF (medium density fibercore) covered with a high grade plain sliced wood veneer rather than solid lumber. The MDF material will not warp, split or cup due to temperature fluctuations around your fireplace. Only the highest grade oak, poplar, pine and cherry are used. Premier manufactures its own moldings and plinth block which gives them the flexibility to build mantles in custom sizes or wood species such as walnut and mahogany.
